Sunday 15 December - 12pm to 4pm We are delighted to bring back our Art Shop this Christmas. All artists involved in this art shop are Jelly workshop leaders, members of our Associate Artists or part of our Young Creatives Network.

Jane Glennie

Jane Glennie is a multi-disciplinary artist, working in film, text/books and installation. Originally a book designer and typographer, alongside her own practice, Jane now enjoys closely collaborating with other artists and writers to produce small editions of beautifully designed books under the name of Peculiarity Press.

Katy Pike

Katy Pike creates a menagerie of colourful and silly art. Characters, the everyday, and story telling feature in textiles, ceramics, paintings and illustrations.

Imogen Martin

Imogen Martin is a multidisciplinary fine artist with a talent for translating the subconscious into an expressive and reflective style of art. She often uses introspection and self reflection to recognise inspiration from within, as well as environmental influences and tackling challenging issues in today’s society. Her vibrant imagination and skilled use of mixed media transmutes into raw passion, blazing colours, and thought provoking creations. As a multifaceted artist, Imogen’s work presents numerous styles and a diverse range of techniques, materials, and concepts that cater to a variety of audiences. She also offers a custom art service alongside her signature work.

Helen Westhrop

Helen Westhrop: textile artist, stop motion animator, printmaker, illustrator, storyteller and poet. Helen is presently exploring with her etching press and vintage 5x8 Adana Letter Press, using handmade paper and found card to produce limited edition poetry booklets and greetings cards. By not ignoring early seemingly failed attempts Helen wishes to raise an awareness in the beauty of the imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.

Julie Calce Bunker

Julie is a visul artist who works with mixed media such as paper, fabric, wood, and papier-mâché. I am predominately a 3D artist, drawn to creating figurative and illustrated pieces. She has most recently been working on using a sewing machine as a means to draw and create collages. Using the sewing machine to draw is a tactile and meditative way for julie to be creative Needle work gives Julie a sense of permanence and strength.

Helen Lunn

Helen Lunn is a Painter who explores her experiences and emotions through painting. She loves the fluidity and vibrancy of inks and water based media. She works in an experimental way, often incorporating collage and rusted objects in her work. Helen's lively, expressive paintings have an organic quality and convey a sense of freedom with her use of materials. She will be showing her paintings and greeting cards in the Pop Up Art Shop 2024.

Katie Maria Francis

Katie Maria Francis is a visual artist, photographer and printmaker who has found a new love in exploring colour, collage and written word. Her work is driven by social and political issues, often inspired by emotion and community. Creative expression and feeling connected enhances Katie Maria's wellbeing, giving an outlet and a form of purpose.

Sarah Martinez

Sarah Martinez is a screenprinter with a love of colour and pattern. She works with her husband teaching screenprinting workshops in schools, colleges and festivals. She also loves creating her own prints and working with fabric printing scarves, bags and cushions.

Brenda Goodchild

Brenda has experience in teaching early years children in a primary setting and enjoys sharing art techniques with young children and hopes to gain more experience. She is currently studying a ma in art psychotherapy discovery how art can be a therapeutic tool to support children and adults through trauma. Brenda also creates art in her spare time usually colourful illustrations.

George Ryan

George is a local artist born and raised in Reading, he has been practising art all his life and went on to study Fine Art at Bournemouth University. His practice revolves around experimenting with colour and abstraction, but recently has started to turn towards stencils work, sculptures and mural work. He will be bringing stencils, new stickers, skateboards and small refurbished statues.

Jelly

Jelly will offer a selection of sketchbooks and prints for purchase, with all proceeds supporting the creative work we do at Jelly. Among the items for sale will be our Reading inspired wood block prints and personlised monogramed gifts using our woodblock letter. These handmade items are made by the Jelly crew and all proceeds will help to fund our ongoing projects and initiatives. By purchasing from us, you’re not only giving a beautiful, handcrafted gift, but also supporting the local arts community and the meaningful work we’re committed to.
