What do you get when you add local artists, designers and makers with a sprinkle of workshops, a teaspoon of talks and evening events with a big dollop of Santa’s grotto and roll the whole lot in a healthy helping of Christmas cheer?
That’s right folks, it’s that time of year again, make RDG is back by popular demand for it’s third year! Ding dong merrily on high, Christmas time is indeed coming! From Wednesday 30th November to Sunday December 11th we will be welcoming you once again in to Reading’s iconic department store Jacksons, so that you can take a trip down memory lane and buy all your Christmas gifts in one handy place, safe in the knowledge that everything is locally designed and made. We are over the moon to have the Nomad Bakery coming along at weekends to provide a range of bread and treats, so that’s the food covered as well. M&S eat your heart out!
Wednesday 30 November – Sunday 11 December*, 11am – 6pm plus special evening events during which we will also be open for browsing.
As ever the only Santa worth visiting will be with us on both weekends and is booking fast as this year you not only get to spend time with Santa and the elves, take a selfie, decorate gingerbread but he’s also giving out a small gift. As a special treat you can join in with the Santa Lantern Parade on December the 3rd and can book your space on the lantern making workshops here: Let’s go see Santa and book a lantern workshop!
