jelly’s Open for Art weekend festival is back from Friday 30 June until Sunday 2 July.
Now in its 4th year, it is back better than ever with 3-days of dance, painting, photography, drawing, trails, drama, illustration, music, talks, walks, performance art, printmaking, textiles, fashion, design, animation and workshops.
This year we will be focusing on two special themes running throughout the festival weekend:
Firstly, we will be celebrating the anniversary of some notable icons in art and design – Frida Kahlo and Lucienne Day. This is inspiring us with ideas of art, design, collaborations, relationships in art and we will be celebrating these in special talks, walks and performances.
Our second theme is based on a project we have been working on with younger people around the waterways that run through Reading and all will be revealed during the weekend.
Join us to celebrate Reading’s individuals, venues and businesses for an arty weekend to remember!
Are you an artist? To be involved in Open for Art 2017, please send an expression of interest by Tuesday 28 February to firstname.lastname@example.org All we need is an email to let us know how you would like to be involved, attaching any images of the work if you want to be considered for the artists trails or proposals outlining what you would like to do.
