Experimental Drawing

New Years resolution.
Unusual Valentines.
Need some inspiration?

Share the love and treat yourself or a loved one to a short course of experimental drawing led by Julie Rogers.
This course will flex your creative muscles, indulge your senses, explore processes, ideas and media.
Make time to loose yourself and return to that primal activity of raw mark making. The best springboard and fertile soil for ideas to grow.

As artists we love to explore and experiment with ideas, processes and techniques but personally I find that I have a default setting, returning to the tried and tested and familiar. It is when I am pushed outside my comfort zone and truly am challenged to think that I make new discoveries.
There are an abundance of courses and classes for all levels to extend and maintain our knowledge but rarely anything similar to those classes taken in art school that push us.
I have always been looking for an experimental drawing course but they are usually too far away, too expensive or require more time than I have available.
Having recently attended one in Oxford it reminded me of that joy of returning to the basics again but travelling to Oxford was time consuming and costly.
I wanted to bring the experience home to Reading.
I hope this will be the first of many experimental courses, bringing new influences, ideas and processes to the melting pot, making it a time to share, explore, meet and make.
I hope you find this as I inspiring as I have

This approach to art is what I LOVE and I am looking to find collaborators. When are you doing your next course?
